Clean Juice Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Clean Juice offers organic juice and smoothies made from fresh ingredients.

Clean Juice has established itself as a prominent player in the organic juice bar industry since its inception in 2015 by Landon and Kat Eckles. The founders were driven by their own health-conscious lifestyles and noticed a lack of certified organic juice bars in the market, inspiring them to create a brand that prioritized health and wellness. This vision led to the creation of the first USDA-certified organic juice and food bar franchise.

Franchising began in 2016, allowing Clean Juice to extend its reach nationwide. The headquarters, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the core of its operational and expansion activities.

Charlotte’s central role is integral to Clean Juice’s mission of providing fresh, organic, and nutritious food and juice options to an increasing number of health-conscious individuals.

The company's dedication to using only organic ingredients and its faith-based business philosophy has resonated with both customers and franchisees, fueling its rapid growth and prominence in the franchise sector.

Training Program: Clean Juice provides a thorough training program known as "Clean Juice University" (CJU). This program incorporates multiple learning methods, including online courses, classroom instruction, and on-site training.

Mandatory Attendance: The initial training program requires participation from at least three individuals. These include the franchisee's Operating Principal, a full-time General Manager, and one additional approved employee, all of whom must complete the training successfully.

Training Content: The program encompasses a broad spectrum of essential topics necessary for effectively operating the store. Key areas of focus include sales strategies, product knowledge, accounting procedures, food preparation, and operational management.

Location and Duration: Training sessions are conducted at designated Clean Juice locations, which may include their headquarters.

Territory Protection

Franchisees of Clean Juice do not receive exclusive rights to their designated territory. This means that the franchisor, along with its affiliates and other franchisees, may operate within the same area assigned to a franchisee. This assigned area is referred to as the "Approved Location" or "Territory".

Although franchisees are provided with a specific location that must be pre-approved by the franchisor, they are not protected from competition by other franchisees, franchisor-owned outlets, or other distribution channels or competitive brands managed by the franchisor.

In cases where an Approved Location is not established at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement, the franchisor will suggest potential areas that could be designated as the Approved Location in an amendment to the Franchise Agreement.
