Founded in 2018, Bowl Boss Acai began as a single farmers-market booth in Upstate New York created by mother-daughter entrepreneurs Jenna and Suzanne Stanton. The brand is headquartered in New Hartford, New York and launched its franchising model in 2020.
Bowl Boss Acai specializes in açaí bowls, smoothies, waffles and other whole-food superfood items, with an emphasis on vegan, gluten-free and refined-sugar-free options.
What sets it apart is its origin story—built around allergy-friendly, transparent menus—and its commitment to making healthy eating accessible to all through clean ingredients and elevated café experience.
With its growing franchise network, Bowl Boss Acai promotes a vibrant and inclusive brand that stands out in the health-conscious food category.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Bowl Boss Açaí provides a structured and mandatory training program designed to equip franchisees with the necessary skills and knowledge for operating their franchise successfully.
Bowl Boss Açaí grants its franchisees a “Designated Territory” defined by either a three-mile road radius or an area encompassing up to 60,000 people, subject to approval by the franchisor.
Within this territory, and as long as the franchisee remains compliant, Bowl Boss Açaí will not authorize another restaurant using its system and trademarks. This territory may be smaller in captive market locations, like malls or airports, and the franchisor maintains flexibility in setting these boundaries.
However, the territory is not exclusive in all aspects. The franchisor reserves the right to use other distribution channels, including online and third-party platforms, even within the Designated Territory.
