Preppy Pet provides a structured and detailed training program to ensure franchisees and their managers are equipped for successful operations:
Preppy Pet Academy: This is the primary training program, held over five days at or near the franchisor’s headquarters in Orlando, FL, or at another selected location. It is mandatory for franchise owners and General Managers, covering core operations, management practices, and pet care standards. Completion is required within 30 days of engagement for General Managers.
Training Curriculum: The curriculum includes both classroom and hands-on training in areas like facility setup, cleaning and maintenance, animal care, sales and marketing, business controls, and customer service. Training for Resale and Transfers: When a franchise is sold or transferred, new operators are required to complete training, and customized sessions are provided based on the specifics of the resale situation. Training fees, travel, lodging, and related costs are the responsibility of the franchisee.
Territory Protection
Preppy Pet grants each franchisee a defined "Protected Territory" within which they are exclusively authorized to operate their business. The specific location and boundaries of this territory are detailed in the franchise agreement addenda and must be approved by the franchisor.
As long as the franchisee remains in compliance, the franchisor will not open or license another Preppy Pet location within that territory under the same or a different brand.
Franchisees are allowed to market only within their Protected Territory and are restricted from advertising or establishing a presence outside this area. The franchisor, however, retains the right to license the brand for other uses outside the franchisee’s designated territory.
