Training

TailWaggers Doggy Daycare offers a comprehensive training program aimed at preparing franchisees and their management teams for successful operation. The programs are clearly structured and address both the launch and ongoing development of the business.

1. Initial Training Program: The designated manager and one assistant must attend and successfully complete an initial training covering topics such as operations, marketing, customer service, and financial controls. This training takes place at the franchisor’s headquarters or another designated location and must be completed at least four weeks before opening.
2. Opening Assistance: At the beginning of operations, the franchisor provides on-site support by sending an experienced representative to assist with staff orientation and general business setup. Additional support can be requested for a fee.
3. Ongoing Training: Periodic refresher training programs are conducted, with a maximum of two sessions and up to four total days per calendar year. Attendance is mandatory if required by the franchisor and covers updates and continued education.

Territory Protection

TailWaggers Doggy Daycare does not offer exclusive territories to its franchisees. Instead, each franchisee is assigned an "Area of Primary Responsibility," defined by ZIP codes or physical boundaries.

While the franchisor agrees not to alter this area during the agreement if the franchisee remains compliant, it reserves the right to operate or license competing businesses within or outside that area.

Franchisees must limit their marketing and business activities to their assigned area and are prohibited from soliciting customers in another franchisee's area. The franchisor may also engage in direct sales through channels like the internet or catalogs within any area, including the franchisee’s, without compensation.
