Training 

Pizzeria Uno offers a thorough training program to ensure franchisees operate their franchises efficiently. This program includes:

Initial Training Program The initial training program encompasses classroom and hands-on instruction on essential business procedures, equipment handling and upkeep, employee recruitment and training, scheduling, basic accounting, computer operations, advertising and promotion, purchasing, food preparation, food safety, food presentation, food quality, portion control, alcoholic beverage service, inventory and cost management, customer service, janitorial services, general maintenance, and other topics chosen by the franchisor.

The initial training spans 20 days for the Operating Principal and 35 to 40 days for the General Manager and other key Uno Restaurant staff.

Additional Training The franchisor may offer additional training sessions and seminars on various topics selected by the franchisor, providing both instructors and training materials. The Operating Principal, General Manager, kitchen manager, and other designated staff are required to attend these additional training sessions and seminars. The franchisee will cover all expenses related to this additional training, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.

Opening Assistance The franchisor provides opening support, which includes pre-opening training, supervision, and on-site remedial training for the franchisee's Uno Restaurant staff. The franchisee is responsible for reimbursing the franchisor for travel and lodging expenses incurred by the representatives providing this opening assistance.

Territory Protection

Pizzeria Uno does not offer exclusive territories to franchisees under the Development Agreement. Each Uno Restaurant's territory will be specified in Exhibit A of the Development Agreement, typically defined by boundary streets, highways, city or county lines, state borders, specific radius, or population range, among other methods.

While franchisees will have a designated territory, it will not be exclusive. Franchisees may encounter competition from other franchisees, company-owned locations, or alternative distribution channels or competitive brands managed by Pizzeria Uno.

Under the Development Agreement, Pizzeria Uno and its affiliates reserve the right to maintain existing Uno Restaurants within the franchisee's territory that were established prior to the agreement's execution.
