PaintEZ offers a structured and comprehensive training program to prepare franchisees for business operations. The training spans both classroom and on-the-job sessions, focusing on practical skills and administrative competence. Here are the key components:
Initial Training Program: This consists of approximately 13 days of training, divided into two sections—8 days at the corporate office and 5 days at the franchisee’s location. Topics include policies and procedures, job and painter management, customer service, sales, estimating, software, and accounting. Completion of both training sections is mandatory before launching operations.
Training Fees and Participation: The program costs $5,000 for up to two attendees. Additional participants may join the corporate office training for $500 each. Franchisees are responsible for all associated travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
Curriculum and Delivery: The training includes 53.5 hours of classroom and 40 hours of on-the-job training, with instructors specializing in different areas such as operations, technology, and accounting. PaintEZ may revise the curriculum and uses experienced professionals to lead the sessions, ensuring participants are well-equipped to manage the franchise.
Territory Protection
PaintEZ provides each franchisee with an exclusive territory, typically encompassing a population base of approximately 300,000 people. This territory is negotiated based on factors like population density and geographic setting and is defined in the Franchise Agreement.
Franchisees are the only ones permitted to market and operate using the PaintEZ system within this defined area. While franchisees cannot market outside their territory, they may service clients in another territory if those clients originated from personal relationships and the other franchisee is informed.
