The franchise began its international expansion through franchising in 1997 and has grown to operate in over 50 countries, with more than 250 locations worldwide. Today, the company is headquartered in Doral, Florida, continuing its mission to inspire curiosity and a passion for science among children aged 3 to 16.

Nutty Scientists offers a variety of educational programs, including after-school workshops, in-class sessions, science camps, birthday parties, and special events. These programs are designed to engage children through hands-on scientific experiments and interactive shows.

Training

Nutty Scientists offers a comprehensive multi-phase training program to its franchisees to ensure successful business operations. The training includes both remote and in-person components, provided as follows:

1. Initial Training Program
   This 20-hour training is delivered online via platforms like Skype or Webinar. It covers essential topics such as business setup, marketing strategies, sales techniques, program delivery, personnel policies, and organizational systems. Completion is mandatory before launching the business.
2. Second Training Program
   Conducted on-site at the franchisee’s location, this 4-day session includes preparation for the grand opening, promotional activities, and training of the franchisee’s instructors (“Monitors”). This phase typically occurs 3 to 5 weeks after the initial training and is designed to ensure smooth operations from day one.
3. Ongoing and Optional Additional Training
   Franchisees may request extra on-site training for a fee, and the franchisor may also offer ongoing training as needed. These trainings help reinforce core practices and introduce new methods or system updates.

Territory Protection

Nutty Scientists provides franchisees with a defined territory based on a minimum of 200 schools, using geographic markers such as city and county lines, streets, and zip codes. Within this area, the franchisee has the right to operate a single Franchised Business, and they may purchase up to three territories.

However, relocation within the assigned territory requires the franchisor’s approval. Despite this protection, Nutty Scientists does not grant an exclusive territory.

The franchisor retains the right to license or operate similar businesses outside the assigned territory and to distribute products through various channels, including the internet and telemarketing. Franchisees are restricted from soliciting or promoting outside their Approved Area, even via digital marketing platforms.
