Training

M14 Hoops provides a structured and detailed training program to ensure franchisees and their staff are equipped to operate the business successfully. The franchise offers several layers of training, each targeting different operational needs:

  1. Owner Training Program: Prior to opening, the franchisee’s Managing Owner and a designated manager must complete this initial program, which includes classroom instruction primarily conducted in Aurora, Illinois. Topics include brand history, marketing, approved programs, technology systems, operations, personnel management, and more.
  2. Head Trainer/DBO Training: Each franchise must appoint a Director of Basketball Operations who must complete a designated training program. This training can be structured in multiple phases and ensures that key trainers meet franchisor standards.
  3. Supplemental Training: Upon request and approval, or when performance standards are not met, the franchisor may offer or require supplemental training. This can occur on-site, at the administrative office, or remotely, with associated costs borne by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

M14 Hoops grants each franchisee a defined operating territory, typically based on geographic and demographic factors, with a population generally up to 300,000.

While franchisees are permitted to operate exclusively within this territory, the rights granted are not exclusive in the strictest sense. Franchisees do not have options or rights of first refusal for additional territories, and M14 Hoops retains significant flexibility in how it manages its brand across territories.

The franchisor explicitly reserves the right to compete in or near franchisee territories through alternate channels such as online sales, national accounts, or other marketing methods.
