Funtastik Labs is a children-focused STEAM entertainment franchise that blends science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with play and creativity. The company was founded in 2017. It delivers hands-on, creative learning experiences designed to spark curiosity in kids.
The brand is headquartered in Katy, Texas. Funtastik Labs began franchising in 2023 under its parent entity, Funtastik Franchising LLC. Its centers are designed as interactive spaces where children can learn, explore, and have fun.
Funtastik Labs locations offer a wide range of STEAM-based activities, including science experiments, slime-making, art, ceramic painting, robotics, and other creative projects. The centers host birthday parties, camps, after-school events, field trips, and family activities. Each experience focuses on active participation rather than passive observation.
The franchise differentiates itself by emphasizing experiential STEAM learning in a fun, welcoming environment. Kids create, build, and experiment using real materials and guided instruction. This focus on blending education with entertainment helps Funtastik Labs stand out in the children’s enrichment and party-venue market.

Funtastik Labs provides a multi-level training program designed to prepare franchisees and their teams to operate a Center according to the franchisor’s standards. Below is a numbered breakdown of the training programs:
Initial Training Program: Within 45 days of the scheduled opening, the Managing Owner and one designated manager must complete the franchisor's training. The program is conducted in Katy, Texas, or another designated location and includes classroom and on-the-job instruction. Additional participants can attend for a fee of $300 per person.
Online or Remote Training: The franchisor may, at its discretion, offer portions of the initial training remotely through web-based conferencing, depending on the situation and availability.
Ongoing Employee Training: After the initial training, the franchisee is responsible for continuing training of all staff members, following the standards and guidelines established by the franchisor.
Supplemental Training: Upon request or as required, the franchisor may provide additional training at the franchisee’s location or remotely. This training is subject to approval and includes a fee of $300 per trainer per day, plus travel and lodging expenses.
System-Wide Training Programs: The franchisor may require franchisees to attend periodic training programs focused on updates to systems, standards, or products. These are held at the affiliate-owned center in Katy, Texas, and all related expenses are the responsibility of the franchisee.
Territory Protection
Funtastik Labs provides its franchisees with a Designated Territory once a location is approved, generally extending about three miles from the Center. Within this territory, and as long as the franchisee complies with their obligations, the franchisor agrees not to open another Center using the Funtastik Labs name.
However, this territory is not exclusive, and franchisees may still face competition from other franchisees or company-owned outlets nearby.
The franchisor retains Reserved Rights to operate or license other businesses under different trademarks, or offer similar services through alternative channels like the internet, catalogs, or direct marketing—even within the franchisee’s territory.
Additionally, there are no restrictions preventing Funtastik Labs from soliciting customers or fulfilling orders from inside the Designated Territory using any method or mark it chooses. This means that while some geographic protection exists, it does not fully shield franchisees from indirect or alternative forms of competition.
