This program consists of approximately four to five days of training at the franchisor’s headquarters. Instruction includes classroom training and hands-on sessions with instructional materials like operations manuals, curricula manuals, live demonstrations, and role-playing. A minimum of 38 hours of training is required before one is certified to begin offering classes.
  2. Training Curriculum Topics
The structured training curriculum includes the following subject areas:
    • Policies in Working with Children (6 hours)
    • Class Materials and Methods (2 hours)
    • Management (8 hours)
    • Sales/Marketing (2 hours)
    • Operating Procedures (6 hours)
    • Reporting (9 hours)
    • Support Procedures (1 hour)

Territory Protection

KidzArt grants franchisees an exclusive territory—either a “Teach” (15,000 qualifying households) or “Teach Plus” (30,000 qualifying households) area—where only they may offer KidzArt programs, as long as they meet performance requirements.

However, the franchisor retains rights to operate or license other businesses under different marks, sell through alternative channels (like online or retail), and fulfill national contracts within the territory if the franchisee does not comply. Thus, while the territory is exclusive in principle, it includes important limitations.
