Training

Valhallan provides a structured and multifaceted training program to ensure its franchisees and key personnel are well-prepared to operate a Franchised Arena. The training is detailed and mandatory, with clear guidelines and expectations:

  1. Initial Training Program: Before opening, the franchisee (or Designated Principal), Manager, and up to one additional person (for a total of three) must complete Valhallan's initial training program to the franchisor’s satisfaction. This training may occur in-person, virtually, or a combination of both.
  2. Training for Owners with 10%+ Interest: Any individual holding at least a 10% ownership interest in the franchisee entity, if not involved in daily operations, may be required to attend relevant parts of the initial training.
  3. Replacement Training: If the Designated Principal or Manager leaves, their replacement must attend the full training program. This training must be completed promptly and no later than specified timeframes.
  4. Franchisee-Led Manager Training: Franchisees may train replacement managers internally if they’ve previously completed the training and are deemed qualified by the franchisor.
  5. Refresher and Additional Training: The franchisor may require attendance at annual refresher training (up to 4 days per person) or franchise conventions (up to 3 days per person), and franchisees are responsible for all associated expenses.

Territory Protection

Valhallan grants franchisees a defined territory, typically ranging from a half-mile to four miles, based on factors like location demographics. Within this area, Valhallan agrees not to open another Arena, but the territory is not exclusive.

Franchisees may still face competition from company-owned outlets or other franchisees operating through different channels.

The franchisor reserves rights to market and sell products via alternative methods, including online and catalog sales, without compensating franchisees. Territorial protection is contingent on compliance with the franchise agreement and can be reduced or revoked under certain conditions.
