Green Home Solutions provides a comprehensive training program to ensure franchisees are fully prepared to operate within the system. Here are the key training components, numbered for clarity:

1. Initial Certification Program: This mandatory training includes two main phases: Phase 1 is a six-day classroom-based certification covering business operations, services, products, and systems. Franchisees must cover their own travel, lodging, and meal expenses for the training. It must be completed by the franchisee or the designated manager if the franchise is owned by a business entity.
2. On-Site Training Option: If Green Home Solutions conducts training at the franchisee’s location, the franchisee must cover the facilitator's travel and accommodation costs, along with additional certification fees.
3. Ongoing Certification: Franchisees are required to complete at least three days of primary protocol certification every 24 months, as well as any new certification required when the franchisor updates its protocols or introduces new services.

Territory Protection

Green Home Solutions provides franchisees with a defined “Protected Territory” where it agrees not to open company-owned locations or authorize other franchises using its marks, assuming the franchisee remains in good standing.

This area is typically based on municipal boundaries or zip codes and must cover a minimum population of approximately 100,000 people, as determined by U.S. Census data. Franchisees may only operate within this territory unless otherwise approved, and any violations could result in termination of the agreement.

Despite this protection, Green Home Solutions retains rights to use alternative distribution methods—such as internet or catalog sales—even within a franchisee’s territory.
