Garage Force: Elevating Concrete Coatings with Superior Strength and Innovation

Garage Force is a nationwide franchise renowned for delivering premium concrete coating solutions tailored for both homes and businesses. The brand features an impressive lineup of products, highlighted by its signature Cyclospartic™ polyurea coatings, which boast durability up to 20 times greater than conventional epoxy.

Engineered to shield concrete surfaces from common issues like cracking, chipping, pitting, and spalling, Garage Force coatings also offer a smooth, low-maintenance, and slip-resistant finish. They’re ideal for a wide range of areas, including garages, basements, driveways, pool decks, and more.

What truly sets Garage Force apart is its dedication to polyurea technology over standard epoxy options. These coatings not only deliver superior toughness but also provide rapid curing times and complete UV resistance, ensuring they maintain their appearance without yellowing.

Training

Garage Force provides several structured training programs to its franchisees and their General Managers:

  1. Initial Training Program
The Franchisor offers an initial training program of up to five consecutive days that covers classroom and on-the-job instruction. Topics include basic business procedures, employee training, accounting, computer operations, selling and marketing techniques, product knowledge, equipment operation and maintenance, product application, customer service, and other business and marketing subjects. Successful completion is mandatory before starting business operations.
  2. Opening Assistance
If requested within 60 days of completing initial training, the Franchisor provides up to three days of on-the-job training and assistance with internal controls, employee training, equipment and supply purchasing, accounting implementation, system rollout, and operational evaluations during the business opening phase.
  3. Additional Training
The Franchisor may require or the Franchisee may request additional training, especially if sending more than two people to initial training, if the business underperforms, or if a new General Manager is hired. This comes with extra per diem fees and reimbursement of travel expenses.
  4. Consulting and Onsite Assistance
The Franchisor may offer additional consulting services at the Franchisee’s request or as needed, covering marketing, advertising, operational, accounting, and personnel issues, usually billed per the current fee schedule plus travel expenses.
  5. Transferee Training
If ownership of the franchise transfers, the new Franchisee must complete the Franchisor’s training program and cover all related expenses for all attendees.

Territory Protection

Garage Force provides its franchisees with a protected territory, meaning the Franchisor agrees not to open or authorize other franchise locations within the defined territory as long as the franchisee complies with the agreement. This territory is typically described using a written description or map and is based on a population of around 200,000 individuals.

However, the Franchisor retains the right to operate or grant franchises outside the franchisee’s territory without restriction. The franchisee is expected to generate at least 95% of its gross revenue from within the protected territory, and if this threshold is not met, the Franchisor may require the purchase of additional surrounding areas.

While Garage Force protects the defined territory from internal competition, it reserves the right to advertise or sell products through other channels like e-commerce even within that territory. Furthermore, the franchisee’s right to the territory may be contingent on achieving minimum sales requirements, with failure possibly resulting in the loss of territorial rights or even termination of the franchise agreement.
