FlyLock Security Solutions is a nationwide security franchise specializing in commercial access control, door security systems, locksmith services, and integrated electronic security solutions.
The company began as The Flying Locksmiths in 1946, when founder William McMenimon opened a small key shop in Boston, Massachusetts, working out of his Jeep with a single key machine. Over decades, the business expanded through family leadership and evolved into today’s leading security solutions provider.
FlyLock is headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts, and has grown into a network with more than 90 locally owned and operated locations serving businesses across the United States. The brand began franchising in 2015, allowing entrepreneurs to open territory-protected FlyLock Security Solutions units.
Franchise owners sell and install a broad range of products and services, including commercial access control systems, CCTV and video surveillance, electronic locks, intercoms, automatic door operators, and advanced security integrations. FlyLock’s offering blends traditional locksmith expertise with modern security technology designed to help businesses protect property and manage access efficiently.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.

FlyLock Security Solutions provides a thorough and structured training program for franchisees to ensure operational readiness and compliance with brand standards. The training programs include:
FlyLock Security Solutions provides franchisees with a designated territory containing a minimum of 500,000 people, and the size can range up to 2,000,000 based on mutual agreement.
Within this area, the franchisor commits not to open or authorize another franchise, affiliate, or company-owned outlet using the same marks, provided the franchisee meets performance standards.
If the franchisee fails to achieve the required minimum gross revenue over a three-month period, FlyLock reserves the right to reduce the territory or allow another operator to enter it.
Although FlyLock grants territorial protections, it retains the right to use alternate distribution methods such as online sales, telemarketing, or catalogs—even within a franchisee's designated area—without providing compensation.
