Training

Caring Transitions offers a structured training program designed to prepare franchisees and their teams for operating the business effectively. The training includes classroom sessions, practical guidance, and ongoing support to ensure alignment with franchise standards.

  1. Initial Training Program: This is mandatory for the franchisee or their Designated Individual and must be completed within 90 days of signing the franchise agreement. The program, conducted at the corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, includes classroom instruction on the business model, services, and technology platforms. Up to two individuals can attend at no cost for the training itself, but travel, lodging, and meal expenses are the responsibility of the franchisee.
  2. Training Content: The classroom training includes 8 hours on the Caring Transitions business model and 8 hours on its technology tools and systems. This instruction is delivered by corporate staff or third-party experts and is supervised by the company's leadership.
  3. Refresher and Additional Training: Caring Transitions may require franchisees to attend additional training sessions or refresher courses at their discretion. These may involve seminars or other programs and could include a training fee and related travel costs.
  4. Employee Training Program: Franchisees must establish a training program for their employees that meets legal, professional, and franchisor standards. While Caring Transitions may provide assistance upon request, the franchisee is fully responsible for training and compliance.

Territory Protection

Caring Transitions offers franchisees a protected territory defined by postal codes, with each territory typically encompassing a population between 175,000 and 200,000 people.

Once the initial training is completed and operations begin, the franchisor agrees not to establish or franchise another substantially similar business within the franchisee’s designated territory. This territorial protection is maintained regardless of changes in population or ZIP code boundaries, which may be redefined by the franchisor to closely match the original area.

However, this protection is not absolute. Caring Transitions reserves the right to allow existing franchisees to continue serving clients who were already under contract before a new territory was assigned.
