WCH Service Bureau began operating in 2001 in New York, focusing on revenue-cycle management solutions for healthcare providers. Over time, the company expanded its capabilities and now runs its operations from Brooklyn, New York. Its services cover medical billing, credentialing support, auditing, eligibility verification, and consulting aimed at improving practice performance.

The company has also developed its own technology suite, including the PMBOS billing platform, the iSmart electronic health record system, and the CredyApp credentialing tool. These systems give the business a strong technological foundation and streamline key administrative processes.

In 2017, WCH Service Bureau introduced a franchise model that allows entrepreneurs to build a healthcare-support business backed by an established brand. Franchisees benefit from WCH’s proven methods and robust operational structure.

The organization differentiates itself through its proprietary software, nearly two decades of industry expertise, and a well-rounded support network. Its franchise model is positioned to meet the increasing demand for outsourced administrative services and complex reimbursement management within the healthcare sector.

Training

The training provided by WCH Service Bureau Franchising, LLC is structured and divided into specific stages to ensure the franchisee and their team are fully prepared to operate under the WCH system. Here is a numbered explanation of the training programs:

  1. Initial Training Program
The Franchisor provides initial training to the franchisee (or their Designated Operator) and the Designated Manager before the business opens. This program is typically delivered within 30 days preceding the opening of the franchise, depending on trainer availability. Training takes place at the Franchisor’s headquarters or a designated training facility.
  2. Manuals and Reference Materials
Before the training begins, the Franchisor loans the franchisee copies of the confidential Operating Manuals, which include mandatory and suggested standards and procedures. These manuals consist of a Business Book, Employee Handbook, and Billing Manual totaling 279 pages.
  3. Ongoing Training
After opening, the Franchisor may provide additional training at the franchisee’s request. This includes:
    • WCH University Training: For onboarding new or replacement instructors to deliver approved services as Authorized WCH Instructors.
    • Master Training: Available for one instructor who has demonstrated high proficiency. All associated costs, including trainer fees and expenses, are borne by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

WCH Service Bureau Franchising, LLC does not offer exclusive territory protection to its franchisees. The Franchise Agreement explicitly states that franchisees will not receive an exclusive territory, meaning they may face competition from other WCH franchises, company-owned locations, or even alternative distribution channels controlled by the franchisor.

The franchise is not tied to a specific protected location, and there are no restrictions on soliciting or accepting orders outside of designated areas. Additionally, WCH reserves broad rights to open and license other franchises, operate competing businesses under different trademarks, and distribute services through multiple channels including the internet.

This means franchisees do not have protection from encroachment, nor do they have rights to revenues generated through other franchised outlets or franchisor-operated platforms. The franchisor also retains the sole authority over internet sales, advertising approval, and control over how the brand is represented online.
