Training

Initial Training UFC Gym provides an extensive Initial Training program that is typically offered four times a year and must be completed to the franchisor's satisfaction before opening the gym.

This training covers a range of essential topics, including owner-operator responsibilities, instructor training, equipment setup and buildout, membership sales, prospect management, administration, operations, merchandising, marketing, and maintaining relations with the franchisor.

The cost of the Initial Training is included in the Initial Fee, though franchisees are responsible for covering all travel, lodging, and meal expenses for their trainees. Should any trainee fail to satisfactorily complete the training, the franchisor may require retraining at the franchisee's expense or may terminate the Franchise Agreement.

On-Site Training As part of the support provided, the franchise may offer on-site training for one Business Day by an Opening Supervisor during the Pre-Sale or Opening phase. This on-site training includes a comprehensive review of personnel, equipment, supplies, systems, and operational procedures. The expenses for the Opening Supervisor's visit are to be covered by the franchisee.

Continued Assistance and Support Once the gym is operational, the franchisor may provide ongoing advisory assistance, which can include additional training, updates on new developments, enhancements in equipment and supplies, and new techniques in advertising, service, and management pertinent to the gym's operation.

Training Program Duration The Initial Training program spans 3 Business Days and is designed for the Owner, Designated Manager, and up to three additional trainees. The content and duration of the training programs may vary based on the specific responsibilities of the trainees within the gym.

Territory Protection

The UFC Gym Franchise offers territory protection to its franchisees under specific conditions. Franchisees are granted a designated territory where no other UFC Gym franchise will be allowed to operate. This ensures that franchisees can grow their business without direct competition from other UFC Gym locations within their protected area.

However, this territory protection is subject to certain conditions outlined in the Franchise Agreement. The exact boundaries and terms of the protected territory are determined based on factors such as market potential, population density, and the geographic area surrounding the franchise location.

Additionally, while franchisees enjoy protection from other UFC Gym franchises, they may still face competition from other fitness centers or businesses not affiliated with UFC Gym. The franchisor retains the right to sell products or offer services under different branding within the franchisee's territory.
