Training

Truly Nolen provides franchisees with a robust training system designed to ensure operational success and compliance with brand standards. Here is a breakdown of the key training programs offered:

  1. Initial Management Training: Before opening, the franchisee (or Controlling Owner) and one Certified Manager must complete this training at the designated locations in Orlando or Tucson, or another approved site. This training ensures key management personnel are equipped to run the business effectively.
  2. On-Site Pre-Opening and Opening Assistance: A representative from Truly Nolen may be present during the opening of the business and provide additional on-site support. This guidance helps reinforce training and ensure smooth launch operations.
  3. Ongoing Training Requirements: If key management personnel leave, replacements must be trained and certified within 30 days. The franchisor must approve these individuals, who must complete the full training program.

Territory Protection

Truly Nolen provides franchisees with a “Protected Territory,” which is a defined geographic area where they are authorized to operate their franchised business. This territory is typically bounded by political borders, streets, or zip codes and generally does not exceed a population of 1,000,000 residents.

During the term of the agreement, Truly Nolen agrees not to operate or authorize another to operate a competing Truly Nolen business within that Protected Territory, provided the franchisee offers the full scope of services specified in their agreement.

However, the franchisee does not receive an exclusive territory in the broader sense. The franchisor retains the right to operate through other distribution channels such as the internet or direct mail and may serve customers within the Protected Territory under certain conditions.
