Mosquito Authority was founded in 2002 by Joey Osborne in Hickory, North Carolina. The company began franchising in 2008 and is now headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since its inception, the brand has grown to over 550 locations across the United States and Canada.
The franchise offers residential and commercial mosquito, tick, and fly control services. It is known for its science-based treatment process and its signature “No Mosquitoes. GUARANTEED.” promise. Customers benefit from regular 21-day treatment cycles, designed to break the mosquito lifecycle and provide ongoing protection.
With its reliable business model, strong brand presence, and emphasis on health and safety, Mosquito Authority continues to be a leader in the pest control industry. It presents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking a scalable and impactful business.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
The Mosquito Authority franchise provides a structured training program to help franchisees launch and operate their pest control business effectively. Here are the programs:
The Mosquito Authority grants each franchisee a designated “Territory” in which they can operate their business using the brand’s marks and system. This territory is defined based on demographics, income, competition, and other factors, and franchisees are expected to stay within this boundary for service delivery.
As long as the franchisee remains in full compliance with the agreement, the franchisor will not authorize others to operate a similar business within that Territory. However, The Mosquito Authority franchise does not grant exclusive territorial rights.
The franchisor and its affiliates retain the right to operate or license similar businesses outside of the defined Territory, including Pest Authority businesses which may overlap in service scope.
