The franchisor offers its franchisees a detailed training program encompassing several vital components:
Initial Training Course: Franchisees are required to attend and successfully complete an initial training course focused on operating a "Supercuts" location. Additional managerial employees are also welcome to attend this course.
Haircutting Employee Training: All new haircutting employees must complete a 5-day initial training course, conducted by either the franchisor or a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) designated by the franchisee. Employment for haircutting staff is contingent upon completing this training.
Recertification Course: Employees must attend a recertification course provided by the franchisor before their "Certificate of Competency" expires. Successfully completing this course renews their certificate for another year.
Management Training: The franchisor may require any management employee of the franchisee to attend training courses relevant to their job responsibilities. The franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with this training.
Ongoing Training: Additional or specialized training, guidance, and assistance may be provided by the franchisor upon request, though there is no obligation to offer specific ongoing training.
Franchisees are not granted exclusive territorial rights. While they are required to operate their Supercuts store at a location approved by the franchisor, they do not receive exclusive rights to any particular geographic area or territory.
This means that the franchisor has the discretion to open additional Supercuts locations or approve new franchisees within the same region. As a result, franchisees must focus on delivering excellent service and building a loyal customer base to maintain a competitive edge within their market.
