Dessange Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Dessange is a beauty-service franchise offering upscale hair, beauty and spa treatments, serving style-conscious clients, and known for premium ambiance, brand heritage and standardized franchise operations.

DESSANGE is an upscale beauty salon and spa franchise that traces its roots back to 1954, when celebrated stylist Jacques Dessange opened his first Parisian location on the iconic Champs-Élysées. From that single flagship, the brand evolved into an international network while maintaining its headquarters in France.

The concept revolves around a premium “total beauty” approach. Clients can access a full range of services—including hair styling, colouring, makeup, skincare and spa treatments—all delivered with the refined elegance associated with French luxury.

As the brand grew, DESSANGE moved beyond its Paris origins and entered markets around the world, establishing a presence in numerous countries. The company promotes a philosophy of “global beauty,” focusing on a woman’s overall style and aesthetic rather than treating each beauty service as a standalone offering.

What truly differentiates DESSANGE in the salon franchise sector is its emphasis on luxury. Unlike mainstream or budget-friendly salon chains, the brand targets clientele seeking a sophisticated atmosphere, premium service quality and a high-end, meticulously curated experience.

Training

Dessange Franchising, LLC provides a structured and multi-faceted training program to franchisees and their personnel to ensure the effective operation of the franchised salon. Here is a numbered breakdown of the training programs provided:

  1. Initial Training Program
Before the opening of the franchised salon, Dessange requires both the Managing Member and Salon Manager to complete a minimum of five days of classroom training. This training may be held at the salon site, at a Dessange facility, or a third-party location designated by the franchisor.
  2. Salon Technical Training
All Highly Trained Personnel must attend and successfully complete this program before the salon opens. It may be conducted either at the franchise location or another site determined by Dessange. This training ensures all staff meet technical standards required for service.
  3. Spa Training
If the salon includes spa services (Salon+Spa), Salon Managers, estheticians, massage therapists, and nail technicians must complete an additional 40-hour Spa Training program. This covers treatments and protocols for skin, body, and spa products, delivered either onsite or at an approved training center.
  4. Salon Manager Flagship Immersion (Optional)
This optional program is recommended 10–12 weeks before the salon's soft opening. It is held at a flagship Dessange Salon and is designed to deeply immerse the Salon Manager in brand standards and operations.
  5. Web-Based eLearning
Dessange may require employees to complete online training modules, which can be provided by Dessange, its affiliates, or third-party vendors.

Territory Protection

Dessange Franchising, LLC provides its franchisees with a designated “Protected Territory” as outlined in the Franchise Agreement. During the term of the agreement and provided the franchisee remains in compliance, Dessange will not establish or license another Dessange Salon within this territory.

The Protected Territory is typically defined as a circular area centered around the salon's front door, with the radius specified in the agreement. However, this territorial protection is not exclusive in the strictest sense.

Dessange and its affiliates retain significant rights, such as establishing other Dessange Salons outside the Protected Territory, even if nearby, and opening salons in “Captive Market Locations” like hotels or resorts within the territory.
