Xtension Envy is a beauty franchise specializing in premium hair extension services and ongoing maintenance. The brand was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Xtension Envy operates modern salon studios focused exclusively on hair extensions and related styling services. The concept targets clients seeking luxury results with consistent upkeep and professional care.
Xtension Envy began franchising in 2021 after introducing the first hair extension membership model in the United States. The franchise structure centers on recurring memberships that provide predictable revenue and strong client retention. This approach reduces reliance on one-time appointments and supports long-term customer relationships.
The franchise sells professional hair extension services and customized beauty solutions. Offerings include I-tip, tape-in, and weft extensions, along with color matching, blending, and styling. Members receive scheduled maintenance and preferred pricing, making high-end hair extensions more accessible. Services are delivered by trained specialists using premium products.
Xtension Envy differentiates itself through specialization and a membership-driven business model. Unlike traditional salons, the brand focuses solely on hair extensions rather than general cosmetology. This narrow focus allows for operational efficiency, higher expertise, and consistent service quality.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Xtension Envy provides detailed training and support for new franchisees to ensure operational consistency and brand success. The training program includes the following:
1. Initial Training Program
Xtension Envy offers an initial training program at its designated training center in Scottsdale, Arizona, or another location of its choosing. The training is provided at no cost for up to four individuals, one of whom must be a principal owner. Franchisees are responsible for travel, lodging, and meal expenses for all attendees.
2. Training Content and Coverage
The training program covers essential aspects of operating a salon under the Xtension Envy brand. This includes operational procedures, customer service, sales strategies, and systems management. The goal is to ensure franchisees are fully prepared to run the business according to brand standards.
3. Additional Training Options
If more than four individuals need to attend or if additional sessions are required, Xtension Envy may charge additional fees. The franchisor also reserves the right to offer continued or updated training sessions to keep franchisees informed of changes. Attendance at such ongoing training may be mandatory depending on the franchisor’s discretion.
Xtension Envy grants franchisees an exclusive territory, meaning no other Xtension Envy outlet will be opened or licensed within the designated area as long as the franchisee remains in good standing. The territory is defined after a suitable location is approved and is determined based on factors like demographics and income levels.
The territory details are attached to the Franchise Agreement and provide geographic protection against direct in-brand competition. However, the exclusivity does not cover alternative distribution channels.
Xtension Envy retains the right to sell products and services under its trademarks through other means, such as online platforms or retail partnerships, within the franchisee’s territory. This means that while no other physical franchise will be placed in the area, brand-related products or services might still reach the market through other channels.
The franchisee has no rights to open additional locations within or adjacent to their territory unless separately agreed upon by the franchisor. If the franchisee wishes to relocate, it must follow strict procedures and obtain the franchisor’s written consent, including payment of a relocation fee.
