Stain Erasers provides an extensive training framework to ensure franchisees are well-equipped to operate their businesses. Training includes a blend of initial onboarding, mandatory annual updates, and additional sessions as needed. Here are the key components:
Initial Training Program Franchisees must complete a 5-day Initial Training Program at the J Racenstein Training Center in Rutherford, New Jersey, or another location designated by the franchisor. This program is mandatory before launching the business, and its successful completion is required for franchise agreement continuity. The training includes lectures, instructional materials, hands-on demonstrations, and operational techniques specific to Stain Erasers’ systems.
Training for Additional Trainees Up to four individuals may attend the Initial Training as part of the base franchise fee, with additional trainees costing $400 per person. Franchisees are responsible for all related travel, meals, and lodging expenses for themselves and their team.
Franchise Manager Training If a Franchise Manager is designated, they must meet all franchisor qualifications, including successful training completion. If a new manager is appointed after the initial training, the franchisee must cover the cost for them to attend the next session.
Ongoing and Annual Training Franchisees are required to participate in up to 14 days of ongoing or additional training annually. This may occur at the franchisor’s site, a job site, or a national convention. Failure to attend mandatory training constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement.
Missed or Remedial Training If training is missed, the franchisee must make it up at a designated location at their own cost. This includes tuition, travel, lodging, and all related expenses for both the franchisee and the franchisor’s training staff.
Territory Protection
Stain Erasers does not provide franchisees with an exclusive territory. Franchisees may face competition from other Stain Erasers outlets, both franchised and company-owned, as well as from other distribution channels or brands controlled by the franchisor.
While each franchisee is assigned a specific territory for operation, they are explicitly restricted from soliciting or performing services outside of this territory without written approval from the franchisor.
In cases where a franchisee sells products or services in another franchisee's territory without permission, penalties apply, including a $1,000 fee per customer and compensation to the impacted franchisee.
