Training

Snaggle Foot provides a multi-tiered training program designed to ensure franchisees operate in alignment with its standards and procedures.

  1. Initial Training: Before opening, the Designated Principal and one additional individual must complete a 2–3 day initial training session. This program covers hands-on dog handling, classroom instruction, and multimedia resources, and is held at a franchisor-designated location. Instruction and required materials are provided at no cost, though travel and related expenses are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  2. Opening Training and Support: The franchisor offers pre-opening support via phone and email to assist with initial business setup and early operations. If additional on-site help is needed, the franchisee must cover associated costs.
  3. Training for New Principals: If the Designated Principal is replaced, the new appointee must promptly complete the initial training program within the time frame specified in the franchisor’s manuals.

Territory Protection

Snaggle Foot grants its franchisees a defined Territory, as specified in the Franchise Agreement. Within this area, the franchisor agrees not to establish or authorize another Snaggle Foot business, providing a level of territorial protection.

This designated Territory cannot be changed during the term unless mutually agreed upon, and franchisees must operate solely within this boundary without encroaching on others' territories.

However, Snaggle Foot retains several important rights outside of each franchisee’s Territory. These include operating or licensing similar businesses under different marks, selling products through various channels such as retail or the internet, and allowing others to operate under the same system beyond the defined area.
