Dogdrop Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Dogdrop provides flexible dog daycare services for busy pet owners, focusing on convenience and quality care. Their modern facilities offer a safe and engaging environment for dogs.

Dogdrop is a modern dog daycare franchise founded in 2019 in Los Angeles, California. Headquartered in the same city, the company began franchising in 2021. Dogdrop offers convenient, flexible, and tech-enabled dog care services designed for today’s busy pet owners.

Its services include supervised play, socialization, and enrichment activities for dogs. The franchise operates on a membership-based model, providing recurring revenue and a streamlined business approach.

Dogdrop differentiates itself from traditional dog daycares by focusing solely on daycare services without overnight boarding. Its facilities are compact, typically ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, allowing locations in high-traffic urban areas. The company's proprietary software enhances operational efficiency and customer experience, enabling features like on-demand care and flexible scheduling.

Dogdrop’s innovative approach caters to the growing demand for quality pet care services, particularly among millennial and Gen Z pet owners. By offering a simplified, tech-driven, and customer-focused model, Dogdrop positions itself as a leading franchise opportunity in the booming pet care industry.

Training

Dogdrop offers a comprehensive and multi-faceted training program to ensure its franchisees are equipped to manage and grow their business. The training includes the following components:

  1. Initial Management Training Program: Before opening, the franchisee, Operating Principal, and General Manager must complete this training to the franchisor’s satisfaction. Conducted at the franchisor's headquarters or affiliated outlets, the program costs $6,500 for up to three individuals, excluding travel and lodging expenses.
  2. Opening Assistance: Around the launch of the business, Dogdrop provides on-site opening training, supervision, and assistance for up to two days at no charge, aimed at supporting initial operations.
  3. Additional Training Programs: Mandatory and optional additional training may be required, including up to five days annually for ongoing training or national conventions. While some training may incur a reasonable fee, franchisees are responsible for all related expenses such as travel, lodging, and meals.

Territory Protection

Dogdrop grants franchisees a defined territory but does not offer exclusive rights. Franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or alternative brands within their territory.

While Dogdrop won't authorize another outlet using its marks in the same territory if the franchisee is in good standing, it reserves the right to sell through channels like online platforms or retail venues. Franchisees receive no compensation for such sales.
