Slick City Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Slick City is an entertainment franchise offering indoor slides and attractions, providing a fun and exhilarating experience for guests of all ages.

Slick City Action Park, founded in 2021 by Bron Launsby and Gary Schmit, is the world’s first indoor slide and action sports park. Headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri, the company began franchising in 2023, offering a unique, high-thrill experience for all ages.

At the heart of Slick City's appeal is its proprietary dry-slide technology, developed by co-founder Gary Schmit. These waterless slides, enhanced with a patented low-friction surface and modular design, deliver the thrill of water slides without the mess.

Slick City parks cater to a broad demographic, with 26% of revenue in 2024 coming from guests aged 18 and older. The parks offer diverse attractions, including obstacle courses and air courts, alongside food and beverage services.

Training

Slick City provides a comprehensive training program for its franchisees to ensure successful business operations. The training is structured and includes both pre-opening and post-opening components.

  1. Initial Training Program: The Principal Executive and up to two employees must attend pre-opening training at Slick City's headquarters or another designated location. There is no fee for the training itself, but the franchisee is responsible for travel and lodging expenses. Training includes lectures, videos, checklists, demonstrations, and knowledge reviews, and is tailored based on the attendees' experience.
  2. Training Completion Requirement: The Principal Executive must complete training at least four weeks before the business opens. The franchise must be under the on-site supervision of someone who has completed the training. If a new manager is sent later, there is a fee of $450 per person per day.
  3. On-Site Opening Assistance: Slick City provides one to two days of on-site support at the time of opening, at no cost to the franchisee. This ensures a smooth start and alignment with brand standards.

Territory Protection

Slick City offers its franchisees a defined Development Area within which they have the exclusive right to establish a location—until that location is approved. This means no other Slick City franchises or company-operated businesses can be opened within that Development Area during the selection phase.

However, once the final store location is approved, the exclusive rights to the Development Area expire, and the franchisee’s rights are then limited to the specific Territory granted.

The franchisor determines this Territory at its discretion and may still operate or license additional outlets outside that specific Territory. Thus, while initial territory protection exists during site development, long-term exclusivity is not guaranteed.
