Screenmobile

Screenmobile Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Screenmobile offers on-site screen repair and installation services, providing convenient and customized solutions for window and door screens.

Founded in 1980 by a father and his two sons in Glendora, California, Screenmobile has evolved into one of the premier mobile screen service franchises in the United States.

The company specializes in repairing, replacing, and installing window and door screens, as well as designing porch and patio enclosures, offering a comprehensive selection of screen solutions.

Now headquartered in Thousand Palms, California, Screenmobile started franchising in 1984. The brand’s steady expansion and unwavering focus on quality have earned it significant accolades, including being recognized as the #1 Home Repair Franchise by Entrepreneur magazine in 2022.

Screenmobile’s standout feature is its fully mobile service model. Technicians arrive at customers' homes with outfitted mobile units, enabling them to measure, manufacture, and install custom screens on-site—often completing jobs in just one visit.

Training

Screenmobile provides a comprehensive set of training programs to its franchisees to ensure proper setup and successful operation:

  1. Initial Training Program: Screenmobile requires the Key Person and designated owners to attend and complete a 10-day in-person initial training program at their headquarters in Thousand Palms, California. This includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training, along with online materials for orientation.
  2. Pre-Opening Training: Before opening, designated franchisee representatives must complete a pre-opening training that may vary in duration based on previous experience. Successful completion includes demonstrating proficiency through evaluations and tests.
  3. Additional and Remedial Training: After opening, Screenmobile offers optional and required additional training sessions. Remedial training may also be mandated if the franchisee is found non-compliant with Brand Standards.
  4. Training for New Managers: If a new designated manager is appointed, they must attend and successfully complete the initial training program before assuming their role.
  5. Annual Conventions and Regional Meetings: Franchisees are required to attend annual conventions and regional meetings for ongoing education and system updates. Non-attendance may result in financial penalties.

Territory Protection

Screenmobile provides franchisees with a protected territory as long as they remain in compliance with the terms of their Franchise Agreement. The franchisor agrees not to operate another business under the Screenmobile Marks within the designated Territory or authorize another franchisee to do so.

However, the franchisor retains the right to advertise, recruit employees, and solicit customers within the Territory without it being considered a breach of the territorial protection.

While Screenmobile does offer this territorial protection, it is not considered an exclusive territory. The franchisor also reserves rights to establish businesses offering dissimilar products and services, or to operate similar businesses under different branding within or outside the Territory.
