Real Deals Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Real Deals offers home décor and boutique products, providing a variety of stylish and affordable options for enhancing interior spaces and aesthetics.

Real Deals on Home Décor & RD Boutique is a unique retail franchise offering affordable home décor and women's fashion in a boutique-style setting. The concept was founded in 2003 by Jeff and Marisa Humphrey in Jefferson, Georgia, when they transformed an old cotton mill into a charming retail space.

Today, the company is headquartered in Twin Falls/Buhl, Idaho, and continues to be family-owned and operated.

The franchise officially began in 2006 after the success of the original store inspired friends and family to replicate the model. Since then, Real Deals has expanded across North America, offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to operate locally focused décor stores.

Real Deals specializes in rotating collections of home décor, wall art, furniture accents, seasonal items, and boutique fashion including clothing, jewelry, and accessories.

Training

Real Deals offers a structured training program to ensure franchisees are prepared to operate their business effectively. The training provided by the Franchisor includes the following programs:

  1. Initial Training Program: This program is mandatory for the operating principal and at least one key employee. It lasts approximately 4 to 5 days and is conducted at the franchisor’s training center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Training includes classroom and on-the-job sessions covering subjects like merchandising, vendor introduction, customer service, signage, branding, and financial practices.
  2. Opening Assistance: The franchisor provides up to 32 hours of opening support, typically by two to three representatives over three days, to aid the franchisee before opening day.
  3. Annual Manager Training: At the franchisor’s discretion, the operating principal and a designated manager must attend annual reviews to assess operational and financial performance.
  4. Successor Franchise Training: When a successor franchise agreement is pursued, the new operating principal and other key personnel must complete necessary training and certifications specified by the franchisor.

Territory Protection

Real Deals provides its franchisees with exclusive territorial protection under its franchise agreement. Franchisees are granted a defined geographic territory within which the franchisor agrees not to establish or operate another franchise or company-owned outlet using the Real Deals on Home Décor® trademark.

The boundaries of this territory are determined based on factors like population density and market conditions, typically ensuring a population base of around 50,000 people.

However, Real Deals retains the right to adjust the territory boundaries under specific conditions. These include significant population growth, inadvertent mapping errors, or if a more accurate representation of the demographic base is needed.
