Training

Pastito provides a robust and comprehensive training program to prepare franchisees and their key personnel for business operations. The training includes the following components:

Initial Training Program
The initial training lasts approximately four weeks and combines classroom and on-the-job instruction. It is mandatory for the Designated Manager and one other person, such as a shareholder, lead chef, or employee, to attend and complete this training before opening. Subjects covered include sales and marketing methods, operational procedures, financial controls, and quality standards.

Location and Costs
Training is conducted at the Pastito restaurant in Tenafly, NJ, or another location designated by the franchisor. There is no tuition fee for the initial training; however, all associated costs—such as travel, room and board, and salaries—are the franchisee’s responsibility. Pastito also requires that the franchisee train their own management and staff.

On-Site Opening Assistance
Pastito sends a representative for approximately seven days to assist with opening operations. If the franchisee requests further assistance, it is provided at the franchisor’s current standard rates plus expenses. Additional training for new managers or chefs may be required and subject to charges depending on hiring practices.

Ongoing and Remedial Training
Franchisees may be required to attend annual ongoing training or seminars, typically not exceeding one week per year. If operational standards are not met, Pastito may mandate remedial training at the franchisee’s expense. These programs ensure continued adherence to brand standards and operational efficiency.

Territory Protection

Pastito does not offer any form of exclusive or protected territory to its franchisees. While franchisees operate within a defined "Approved Location" or "Designated Area," this designation serves solely for site selection purposes and carries no territorial protection.

Franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other distribution channels operated or licensed by the franchisor.

The franchisor explicitly retains the right to establish or license other Pastito businesses at any location, including within proximity to an existing franchise.

Additionally, it can authorize other businesses under different systems or brands and distribute its products through channels like direct mail, online sales, and third-party platforms. No compensation is due to the franchisee for any overlapping activity or sales within or near their operating area.
