Global Art is an international children’s art-education franchise founded in 1999 in Malaysia by Mahair Goh. What started as a single art-learning center quickly evolved into a global brand recognized for structured creativity programs. The franchise has since expanded into many countries and remains one of the best-known names in children’s creative enrichment.
The company is headquartered in Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia, with additional operational offices supporting its international network, including the United States.
Global Art offers a wide range of art-based learning programs for children ages 3 to 17. Its curriculum includes drawing, painting, handicrafts, cartooning, comics, acrylic painting, clay modeling, and other visual-arts activities.
Global Art began franchising in 2017, making franchising a core part of its expansion model. The brand differentiates itself through a structured, research-based curriculum designed to develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Global Art provides a multi-tiered training program designed to prepare franchisees and their teams for successful operation of their centers:
Global Art offers its franchisees territory protection through a defined and limited “protected territory” surrounding their approved Center location. This territory typically extends up to two miles within the city limits, though the actual size can be larger or smaller depending on population density and market factors.
The protected area is determined based on factors such as demographics, business potential, traffic, parking availability, and competition. While the franchisor agrees not to establish or license another Global Art center within a franchisee’s protected territory during the agreement term, this protection is not exclusive in all respects.
