Feng Cha Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Feng Cha is a tea café franchise offering handcrafted milk teas, fruit teas, and desserts, serving tea lovers and social café guests, and known for creative toppings, seasonal menus, and modern, photogenic store designs.

Feng Cha is a fast-growing bubble tea and specialty beverage franchise designed for today’s youth-driven tea market. Founded in 2017 in Richardson, Texas, the brand opened its first store to create a relaxed, stylish teahouse environment rather than just a typical drink stop. Its U.S. headquarters is located in Richardson, Texas.

Feng Cha began franchising in 2017 through its franchisor entity, Cannect LLC, which was organized in November 2016. The brand’s stores sell handcrafted premium tea-based beverages, including popular series like Dirty Boba, crème brûlée milk teas, fruit teas, blended drinks, and a coffee line.

What sets Feng Cha apart from the competition is its focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients and an elevated store design that promotes comfort and community. Each location is crafted to provide a welcoming atmosphere where customers can socialize, study, or relax while enjoying custom-made drinks.

Training

Feng Cha provides a comprehensive and structured training program designed to prepare franchisees and their managers for successful store operations. The training includes both mandatory and optional programs:

  1. Initial Training Program: Franchisees and up to two managers must complete a mandatory training course covering all operational aspects such as food preparation, customer service, POS systems, equipment use, and financial and HR management. The course spans at least six days in person, costs $10,000, and must be completed no later than two weeks before the store's soft opening and within six months of signing the agreement.
  2. Online Orientation: Before in-person training, trainees must complete an online orientation program with a required 100% score. This step ensures foundational knowledge prior to attending the hands-on portion. The training materials may include videos, course books, and digital resources.
  3. On-Site Opening Support: Feng Cha provides approximately seven days of on-site support during the store’s soft opening. This includes help with store setup and staff operations. Any additional support may incur charges of $500 per day.

Territory Protection

Feng Cha provides franchisees with a designated Franchise Territory where they can operate their business. The territory boundaries are determined using market analysis, population data, and municipal divisions, and are defined in the franchise agreement.

Within this area, the franchisee has the right to operate and deliver takeout or catering, with no minimum sales quota required to maintain their territorial rights.

However, Feng Cha does not grant exclusive territory rights. Franchisees may still face competition from other Feng Cha outlets, company-owned locations, or alternative distribution channels authorized by the franchisor.
