Training

Fantastic Sam’s provides a thorough training program for franchisees, managers, and staff, covering all key aspects of salon management and operations. The training includes:

Initial Training for Franchisees and Designated Salon Managers: This involves a combination of classroom and/or virtual instruction, as well as hands-on training. These sessions, lasting typically 3 - 5 days, address topics such as hairstyling techniques, sales strategies, system indoctrination, motivational development, financial management, advertising, customer relations, and practical salon operations.

Ongoing Training Programs: These additional training sessions, including conventions, seminars, and meetings, ensure that franchisees and their staff stay updated with the latest operational standards and techniques.

Specialized Training for Multiple Salon Owners: Franchisees with six or more salons may need to employ a full-time technical educator to train their staff. This educator is required to attend and successfully complete any necessary training programs.

Territory Protection

Fantastic Sam’s grants franchisees a limited protected territory, generally covering a half-mile radius around the salon location. Within this designated "Protected Area," the franchisor commits not to establish or permit another Fantastic Sam’s salon, thereby offering a degree of territorial exclusivity to the franchisee.

However, this protection does not entirely prevent the franchisor from competing in other forms, such as through alternative brands or distribution channels outside of the Fantastic Sam’s franchise, even within the Protected Area.
