Business Services

Training

College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving provides franchisees with a comprehensive set of training programs to ensure proper business operations:

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees and one additional person must complete a mandatory 5 to 15-day training program at the headquarters in Tampa, Florida, or virtually, plus onsite training at a certified location. This covers operations, management, and marketing essentials, and all attendees must pass to the franchisor’s satisfaction.
  2. Optional On-Site Training
Within the first three months, the franchisor may provide up to three additional days of onsite training at the franchise location, with expenses covered by the franchisee. The franchisor determines the subjects and scope of this training.
  3. Additional Training During the Term
The franchisor may offer further advisory assistance or training as needed, including phone consultations, onsite visits, and third-party driver and safety training. Franchisees cover the costs, including travel, lodging, and per diem fees.
  4. Enrichment Training
If a franchise is underperforming, the franchisor may require enrichment training, which could include sessions at headquarters, onsite training, or visits to other franchises. An enrichment training fee and all related expenses are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  5. Manager and Transfer Training
New managers must complete the training program before assuming their role, and franchise transfers require the new owner to complete the same training, all at the franchisee’s cost.

Territory Protection

College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving grants franchisees a Designated Territory that generally includes one or more “Zones,” each with a population between 300,000 to 400,000 people.

While franchisees are allowed to operate within this area, the franchisor does not guarantee exclusivity and may sell products or services through other channels, such as national accounts or affiliates, even inside the territory.

If a franchisee fails to meet obligations or standards, the franchisor may reduce the territory size or allow other franchisees to operate within it. Franchisees are prohibited from soliciting or servicing customers outside their Designated Territory without prior approval, though they may occasionally be required to serve nearby customers within a 15-mile radius.
