Chem-Dry provides a comprehensive training program to equip franchisees with the operational skills and knowledge necessary for business success. The program is mandatory and must be completed by key personnel before launching the franchise.
JumpStart Training Program The JumpStart Training is a pre-opening self-guided program involving local activities with support from Chem-Dry’s home office. It begins immediately upon signing the franchise agreement and payment of initial fees.
Initial Training Program Following JumpStart, the franchisee must attend a 5-day Initial Training session, typically held at Chem-Dry headquarters or another designated location. This includes in-person operations and management training and is required to be completed within four months of signing the agreement.
Training for Additional Personnel Designated Managers and Service Technicians are also required to attend training. Additional attendees may join on a space-available basis for a nominal fee.
Territory Protection
Chem-Dry grants its franchisees the right to operate within a designated territory defined in the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must select an approved office site within this territory and are prohibited from establishing offices or advertising services outside of it without explicit written consent.
While Chem-Dry commits to not franchise or license another business within the same territory, this protection is conditional on the franchisee remaining in compliance with the agreement.
However, Chem-Dry does not offer an exclusive territory. Franchisees may still face competition from other Chem-Dry franchisees, company-owned locations, or other distribution methods under different brands controlled by the franchisor.
