Array Skin Therapy is a specialty health and wellness franchise focused exclusively on narrowband UVB light therapy for chronic skin conditions. It offers a drug-free, FDA-approved treatment option for psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, and other autoimmune skin disorders, with services often covered by insurance.
The company was founded in 2011 when Kristen Miller, a nurse practitioner, launched the first clinic to improve patient access to narrowband UVB treatment. Initially based in Southern California, its corporate headquarters is located in Los Angeles, California.
What sets Array Skin Therapy apart is its sole focus on narrowband UVB therapy, making it the first franchised brand dedicated entirely to this specialized treatment.
It differentiates itself from general dermatology or skincare chains by offering fast, convenient access, minimal wait times, free parking, and a treatment-first approach rather than cosmetic services.

Array Skin Therapy provides a structured and multi-faceted training program to ensure franchisees are well-equipped to operate their clinic within brand standards. The programs are as follows:
Initial Training Program Franchisees receive an initial training program consisting of 17 hours of classroom instruction and 23 hours of on-the-job training. Subjects covered include the brand’s history, pre-opening procedures, staff development, patient procedures, marketing, daily operations, and patient service protocols. This training is conducted at an affiliate clinic in either Los Angeles or Orange County, California.
On-Site Opening Support Around the time of the clinic’s opening, Array Skin Therapy sends a representative to the franchise location for two days of on-site training and support. This visit is provided at the Franchisor’s cost and is designed to assist with pre-opening and operational setup.
Ongoing and Refresher Training The Operating Owner and other personnel are required to attend periodic training courses, conventions, and refresher sessions as designated by the Franchisor. Participation in these programs is mandatory, and franchisees must cover all travel, lodging, and other related expenses.
Additional or Corrective Training If a franchisee is not operating in accordance with the system’s standards or requests extra training beyond the standard offerings, the Franchisor may mandate additional sessions. In such cases, franchisees are responsible for additional fees and all associated costs.
Territory Protection
Array Skin Therapy does offer territory protection to its franchisees. Upon approval of the clinic’s premises, the franchisor designates an exclusive territory, typically defined by either a three-mile radius or a population of 100,000 people.
Within this exclusive area, no other Array Skin Therapy clinics—franchised or company-owned—may operate under the same system and branding.
However, this exclusivity is conditional on the franchisee's compliance with the Franchise Agreement. If the franchisee defaults, such as by failing to pay required fees, the franchisor reserves the right to reduce, modify, or even eliminate the exclusivity of the territory.
