Training

ABC Seamless provides several training programs to support its franchisees in operating their businesses effectively. Here’s a breakdown of the training offered by the franchisor:

  1. Initial Training Program: Conducted prior to the opening of the franchised business, this program typically lasts up to 12 days and is usually held in Nebraska, though virtual training may also be provided. The training's duration and content are adjusted based on the franchisee’s prior experience. It includes instruction from key personnel such as Ted Franssen (CEO and President) and Jason Franssen, along with corporate sales representatives.
  2. Training for Key Personnel: ABC Seamless mandates that the franchisee’s lead salesperson and lead applicator complete the initial training program to the franchisor’s satisfaction.
  3. Ongoing Training Programs: These programs are aimed at keeping franchisees updated on new or existing methods for soliciting customers and are delivered at regional and national meetings. Trade shows also serve as educational platforms.

Territory Protection

ABC Seamless offers limited territory protection to its franchisees. Each franchisee is assigned a territory defined by either approximately 75,000 single-family homes or a population of around 114,000, whichever is smaller.

While the territory is designated and the franchisor agrees not to operate or license others to operate the same type of business within that territory, it is important to note that the territory is explicitly non-exclusive.

Although franchisees are not granted exclusive rights, ABC Seamless commits not to sell franchises for a similar or competitive business using its branding within the franchisee’s assigned area—so long as the franchisee is not in default.

However, ABC retains the right to use various distribution methods, such as internet and catalog sales, to reach customers within any area, including within a franchisee's territory.
