It is headquartered in Peachtree City, Georgia, and began franchising in 2003. Today, the brand operates in over 100 territories across the United States.

Training

Weathersby Guild provides several training programs and obligations  to ensure that Franchisees and their staff are adequately prepared to operate the business effectively. These programs are:

  1. Initial Training Program: This mandatory training spans approximately 19 to 21 days and is designed to help the Franchisee’s management and technicians operate the business. It includes management and technical training and is conducted near the Franchisor's Home Office in Georgia. Attendance is compulsory, and failure to complete it satisfactorily is considered a breach of the agreement.
  2. Skills and Management Training: Franchisees and employees must complete training tailored to their roles. Franchisees (or their designated managers) undergo management training, while employees responsible for repairs or refinishing complete the skills portion. This training is provided by the Franchisor at a location they choose, with materials and instruction covered by them, but all travel and lodging expenses are borne by the Franchisee.
  3. Additional and Ongoing Training: The Franchisor may conduct optional seminars or other training programs and refresher courses. Franchisees can request extra training as needed, but these come at their own expense. Retraining may be mandated if the Franchisee is not meeting operational standards.

Territory Protection

Weathersby Guild offers its franchisees territory protection by granting an exclusive geographic area in which the franchisee may operate. The Franchisor agrees not to establish or license another Weathersby Guild business within this designated Territory during the term of the franchise, as long as the franchisee complies with all agreement terms.

Franchisees are prohibited from soliciting or accepting business outside their assigned Territory unless given written permission. This exclusivity, however, is not without limitations. If a franchisee fails to maintain acceptable service standards, the Franchisor retains the right to introduce another franchisee or operate within that Territory.
