Training

Tutor Doctor provides a thorough and structured training program to prepare franchisees for operating their educational service businesses. Here are the training programs offered:

1. Initial Training Program: Before opening, franchisees and one additional management individual must attend and complete an initial training program. This training includes a mix of online modules, eLearning, and in-person sessions conducted at the company’s headquarters or another designated location.
2. Specially-Trained Management Personnel Requirement: The designated Operating Principal and other management staff must complete the initial and ongoing training requirements. They must also be approved as qualified by the franchisor and must manage the business full-time.
3. On-Site Pre-Opening and Opening Support: A Tutor Doctor representative will be present at the opening of the business and provide any necessary on-site supervision and support during this phase.
4. Refresher and Additional Training: Franchisees and their management personnel may be required to attend refresher courses, additional seminars, or retraining sessions, especially if their performance does not meet brand standards.

Territory Protection

Tutor Doctor offers limited territory protection to its franchisees through a structured system of territorial designations. Each franchisee is granted a “Local Protected Territory,” typically defined by zip code boundaries and encompassing around 75,000 to 100,000 people.

Within this territory, franchisees have the exclusive right to offer and sell services and products, and Tutor Doctor agrees not to establish or authorize another business within that same Local Territory as long as the franchisee remains in good standing.

However, the broader “Regional” and “National” Territories provided under some agreements are non-exclusive. Other franchisees may be awarded overlapping rights within these larger areas, allowing them to operate and compete in close proximity.
