Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
ShelfGenie offers 2 types of franchises:
We are summarizing below the main costs associated with opening an Executive Franchise ShelfGenie® franchise. For more information on costs required to start a ShelfGenie franchise, refer to the Franchise Disclosure Document (Item 7).
The franchisor offers a comprehensive initial training program designed for franchisees and their management teams. This program covers a wide range of topics, including the company’s history, philosophy, core values, and business expectations.
It also includes detailed instruction on using the proprietary software (WishPortal), as well as guidance on marketing and advertising, management procedures, business systems, and franchise reporting requirements.
Continuous Support and Training
Beyond the initial training, the franchisor provides ongoing support and may mandate attendance at up to two national business meetings or annual conventions each year. These events are tailored to offer further learning opportunities and business updates.
Specialized Training for Installers and Designers
For franchisees employing installers or designers, specialized training is mandatory. The franchisor charges a training fee for this specialized instruction, and franchisees are responsible for all associated costs and expenses for their trainees’ participation in these programs.
The franchisor ensures that you will have the right to operate a ShelfGenie business within a designated territory, offering you limited territory protection. Your franchise agreement will specify an area within which you have exclusive rights to operate and market your ShelfGenie business.
The size of this territory may vary based on the population density of the area, and adjustments might be made upon renewal of the franchise agreement if necessary. While you benefit from limited territory protection, the agreement does not extend exclusive territorial rights beyond the specified area.
However, as long as you remain in full compliance with your Franchise Agreement, the franchisor will not operate or grant a franchise for another ShelfGenie business with rights to market within your territory during the term of your agreement.
