NuYo Frozen Yogurtis a retail dessert franchise offering self-serve frozen yogurt with a wide mix of flavors and toppings. Customers can choose from a rotating selection of tart and sweet yogurt bases and customize their cups with dozens of toppings, including fresh fruit, sauces, and sweets. The brand also offers non-fat, non-dairy, and no-sugar-added options to reach a wider audience.
The company was founded in 2008 in California, originally incorporated under the name Pure Frozen Yogurt, Inc., before adopting the NuYo Frozen Yogurt name later that year. It is headquartered in Granite Bay, California. NuYo began franchising around 2010, expanding its self-serve yogurt concept to additional markets.
NuYo differentiates itself with its “nutritious yogurt” philosophy, focusing on high-quality frozen yogurt with live and active cultures. The brand emphasizes cleanliness, consistency, and a fun customer experience across all stores. Strong systems and training also help franchisees deliver the same quality and service that define the NuYo model.

NuYo® provides a structured and multi-tiered training program for franchisees and their staff to ensure successful operations and alignment with brand standards. Below are the training programs offered by the Franchisor:
Initial Training Program NuYo® offers an initial training program for up to two management individuals, typically lasting one week. This program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training, held at a NuYo® designated location and at the franchisee's store. The training must be completed to the Franchisor’s satisfaction before store operations can begin. A non-refundable fee of $7,500 is required for this training, with an additional $2,500 charged for each extra participant.
On-Site Opening Assistance Up to five business days of on-site opening assistance is provided at the Franchisor’s discretion. The franchisee must cover all associated costs, including travel and lodging for Franchisor staff.

Territory Protection
NuYo® provides limited territory protection to its franchisees under certain conditions. As long as the franchisee complies fully with the agreement, NuYo® will not establish company-owned locations or grant new franchises within the “Assigned Territory,” which is typically defined as an area of approximately one driving mile around the store and detailed in Exhibit "A" of the agreement.
However, this protection does not apply to "Non-Traditional Locations" such as kiosks in malls, airports, universities, or grocery stores, where NuYo® reserves the right to operate or license others freely.
Franchisees should also be aware that the territorial rights do not include exclusivity in marketing or direct sales. NuYo® and other franchisees can advertise in any area, including within an assigned territory, and the Franchisor may sell products through other channels such as the internet, catalog sales, and telemarketing.
