Training

Ghost Kitchens America Inc. offers an extensive training program designed to equip franchisees with the necessary skills to operate their business efficiently.

  1. Initial Training Program: Before opening a Ghost Kitchen Business, franchisees receive a comprehensive five-week training program at the corporate headquarters, including classroom and on-the-job instruction. This program covers areas such as guest experience, brand standards, health and safety, and key performance indicators.
  2. Training Location and Schedule: The core training is conducted in Toronto, Ontario. Training provided by selected Approved Brands takes place at the franchisee's own location. Up to four individuals may participate in this training, which is scheduled several times a year based on need.
  3. Replacement and Transferee Training: Any replacement manager or transferee must attend and complete the initial training. This also applies to anyone assuming operational responsibilities, including new cooks or managers hired later.
  4. Continuing Training: Ghost Kitchen may require ongoing education or refresher programs, either optional or mandatory, to maintain brand standards. These may include additional fees and travel expenses.

Territory Protection

Ghost Kitchens America Inc. grants franchisees a defined territory surrounding the Approved Location of their kitchen, typically set as a circle with a two-mile radius or an area with a population of 30,000 people.

This area is designed to minimize internal competition and create operational efficiency. However, the franchisor retains the right to establish other Ghost Kitchens offering different restaurant brands within this same territory.

Although Ghost Kitchens provides certain geographic boundaries, the protection is limited. The franchisor and its Approved Brands may still operate businesses outside the designated territory or near its borders.
