Training

Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh ensures thorough training for franchisees, beginning with an extensive initial training program and potential refresher courses.

Initial Training: The initial training program accommodates up to three individuals, including the franchisee, the franchisee's manager, and the assistant manager. For entity franchisees (partnerships, corporations, LLCs), at least one trainee must hold a key role within the entity, such as a general partner or principal shareholder.

Spanning approximately four weeks, the initial training focuses on practical skills across key areas: financial controls, bookkeeping procedures, food preparation, service operations, marketing strategies, sanitation protocols, maintenance standards, and quality assurance. Training occurs at a location designated by Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, with all associated expenses—travel, accommodations, and meals—borne by the franchisee.

Training Materials: Franchisees must exclusively use training materials provided by Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, which remain the franchisor's property. Unauthorized use of these materials is prohibited. Periodic refresher training programs or seminars may also be offered, requiring attendance by franchisees, managers, or other designated personnel at their own cost.

Completion Requirements: Failure to satisfactorily complete the initial training may necessitate repeating the course or sending a replacement to the subsequent session, as determined by Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh. Fees for additional training sessions are outlined in the operations manuals or provided in written documentation by the franchisor.

Territory Protection

Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh provides franchisees with a designated territory that offers certain protections. However, these territorial rights are non-exclusive, allowing the franchisor to operate and grant licenses to others to use the system and proprietary marks within the franchisee's territory under specific circumstances.

The franchisor reserves the right to establish or license additional restaurants in captive locations such as enclosed shopping centers, amusement parks, sports stadiums, and airports within the franchisee's designated territory.

The size and scope of each territory are determined at the discretion of Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, considering factors like location, traffic patterns, site dimensions, demographics, and market demands. Therefore, the territory's extent may vary significantly among franchisees and could be limited to the immediate vicinity of the franchisee's restaurant.
