Training

Foxtail Coffee Co. provides a structured and layered training program to prepare franchisees and their staff for successful operation. The training is comprehensive and extends from pre-opening through post-opening support:

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees, including the Principal Executive and optionally the Manager, must attend a 10-day Initial Training Program in Florida, which covers operations, management, and system standards. Up to four attendees can join at no charge, though travel and accommodation costs are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  2. In-Store Training for First Unit
For the opening of the first store, franchisees receive over 40 hours of hands-on in-store training conducted by corporate trainers. This ensures practical readiness and familiarity with day-to-day operations.
  3. Training for Additional Units
If corporate trainers are requested for subsequent locations, a $5,000 in-store training fee applies, along with expenses for travel and meals.

Territory Protection

Foxtail Coffee Co. grants its franchisees a defined territory, typically up to a two-mile radius around the approved location, but this territory is not exclusive. While the franchisor agrees not to open another Foxtail Coffee Co. outlet using the same or similar trademarks within this area, this protection does not extend to non-traditional locations such as airports, malls, or schools, even if they fall within the physical boundaries of the franchisee’s territory.

Franchisees do not have the right to relocate or open additional outlets unless they enter into a Multi-Unit Development Agreement. Despite the granted territory, Foxtail Coffee Co. retains broad rights to compete within and outside the franchisee’s area.

The franchisor may sell products through alternative distribution channels like internet, catalog, and telemarketing under different trademarks and is not obligated to compensate franchisees for such sales within their territories.
