Daddy's Chicken Shack

Daddy's Chicken Shack Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Daddy's Chicken Shack serves Southern-inspired fried chicken and comfort food, offering a flavorful and satisfying dining experience with a focus on quality ingredients.

Daddy’s Chicken Shack is a fast-casual restaurant franchise specializing in premium Southern-style chicken sandwiches, grilled chicken, and Nashville hot chicken. The brand was founded in 2018 in Pasadena, California, by Pace Webb and Chris Georgalas after their chicken sliders gained popularity at a celebrity event.

Today, the company is headquartered in Castle Rock, Colorado. The franchise began expanding in 2021 and, as of 2024, operates six units with ambitious growth plans. Daddy’s Chicken Shack is backed by franchising veteran Dave Liniger, co-founder of RE/MAX, who, through Area 15 Ventures, acquired the brand in 2023 to spearhead national development.

Daddy’s Chicken Shack’s menu focuses on chef-driven offerings like buttermilk-brined, pressure-cooked or grilled chicken served on toasted brioche buns.

It also offers seasonal menu items, vegetarian-friendly sides, and clean-label sourcing—featuring chicken raised in the U.S. with no hormones or steroids. The concept is designed for efficiency, combining premium food with a tech-enhanced guest experience.

Training

Daddy’s Chicken Shack offers a structured training program for franchisees to ensure consistent and effective operations. The program includes both pre-opening and ongoing components tailored for owners, managers, and approved staff. Here are the main training offerings:

  1. Initial Training Program
Before the restaurant opens, the Operating Principal, General Manager, and one other approved employee must complete the franchisor’s initial training. This program spans multiple training categories, including restaurant operations, customer service, marketing, financial management, and emergency procedures, delivered through classroom and on-the-job sessions either virtually or in Castle Rock, Colorado. A $5,000 training fee applies, and all travel, lodging, and personal expenses are covered by the franchisee.
  2. Certification and Requirements
All Principal Trainees must complete local food handling certification before starting the training. Completion of the initial training is mandatory before restaurant operations can begin, and evidence of insurance coverage must be provided in advance.
  3. Refresher and Annual Training
The franchisor may require Principal Trainees to attend up to 20 days of refresher programs annually. These include seminars, additional training events, or mandatory attendance at annual conventions lasting up to three days.

Territory Protection

Daddy’s Chicken Shack grants franchisees the right to operate within a designated area, referred to as the “Designated Area,” but it does not provide exclusive territory protection.

Franchisees may face competition from other Daddy’s Chicken Shack restaurants, whether owned by the franchisor or licensed to other franchisees, and from other distribution channels under different brands.

Although the franchisor agrees not to open or license another Daddy’s Chicken Shack restaurant at a physical premises within the Designated Area during the agreement term, this is conditional upon the franchisee's compliance with the Franchise Agreement.
