Training

Batteries Plus Bulbs provides a comprehensive training program designed to ensure franchisees are well-prepared to run their new business successfully. The training combines both online and in-person instruction, focusing on various aspects crucial to operating a Batteries Plus franchise.

Initial Training: The initial training program covers a wide range of topics essential for new franchisees. This includes store operations, cash control, using the Retail Management System, and understanding the equipment and products sold by Batteries Plus. The program also emphasizes methods of controlling operating costs, ensuring that franchisees can manage their business efficiently from day one.

On-the-Job and Classroom Training: Franchisees receive 84 hours of on-the-job training and 168 hours of classroom training. This hands-on approach allows new owners to learn directly in a store environment, gaining practical experience in managing daily operations, customer interactions, and technical services offered by Batteries Plus.

Ongoing Training and Support: Batteries Plus also offers ongoing training to help franchisees stay updated with the latest industry trends, products, and best practices. This includes business coaching and access to an online learning management system, which provides valuable resources and tools to keep the business running smoothly.

Territory Protection

Batteries Plus Bulbs offers territory protection to its franchisees, ensuring they have a defined area where no other Batteries Plus store will be established. This protected area typically extends to either a three-mile radius or encompasses 150,000 people, whichever is smaller.

This arrangement helps franchisees secure their market and reduce direct competition from other Batteries Plus locations within their territory.

During the term of the Franchise Agreement, as long as franchisees comply with its provisions, the franchisor will not open another franchised or company-owned store within the protected area.
