The first Tastea location opened in Little Saigon in Orange County and quickly attracted attention for its bold drink varieties and energetic brand personality. After several years of running company-owned stores, the brand launched its franchise program in 2014, debuting its first franchised unit in Chino Hills, California.

The Tastea franchise provides a structured and supportive training program to ensure franchisees and key personnel are thoroughly prepared for operations. Here are the main training programs offered:
Initial Training Program: For a first-time franchisee, Tastea offers up to six weeks of training at no cost for two individuals designated as the Operating Partner and General Manager. This comprehensive training covers all essential operational and management aspects.
Pre-Opening Training: In addition to the initial training, Tastea provides up to two weeks of on-site Pre-Opening Training at the franchisee’s location. This helps ensure the team is operationally ready and aligned with brand standards before launch.
Operations Manual Access: Franchisees receive a hard or electronic copy of the Operations Manual upon signing the agreement. This manual includes approximately 197 pages of operational standards, rules, procedures, and policies essential for running a Tastea Tea Bar.
Post-Opening Assistance: After opening, Tastea continues to provide consultations, updates on new services and products, and marketing support. Franchisees also receive inspections and evaluations to ensure adherence to the franchise system.
Territory Protection
The Tastea franchise does not offer exclusive territory rights to its franchisees. Franchisees are specifically informed that they will not receive an exclusive territory for the operation of their Tastea Tea Bar.
This means other franchisees or company-owned stores may operate nearby without restriction, and franchisees do not have legal protection against such competition. Furthermore, Tastea and its affiliates retain broad rights to open additional Tastea Tea Bars or other businesses at any location, regardless of proximity to an existing franchise.
They may also grant franchises to third parties for the same purpose. This open-territory structure allows the franchisor flexibility in expanding the brand but limits territorial security for individual franchisees.
