Structural Elements® is a pioneering orthopedic wellness franchise that integrates structural bodywork with connective tissue therapy to address musculoskeletal imbalances.
Founded in 2013 by Doug Bertram in Hagerstown, Maryland, the company began franchising in 2016. Its headquarters remain in Hagerstown, serving as the central hub for its growing network of clinics.
The franchise offers a unique approach to wellness by focusing on the body's structural elements. Services include a blend of manual therapy, movement education, and personalized treatment plans designed to improve overall function and reduce pain. This holistic methodology sets Structural Elements apart in the health and wellness industry.
Structural Elements distinguishes itself through its proprietary treatment model that emphasizes long-term patient care and maintenance. By addressing the root causes of discomfort rather than just symptoms, the franchise promotes sustained health improvements.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Structural Elements Franchising (SEF) provides a structured suite of training programs for its Micro-Franchisees:
Structural Elements Franchising (SEF) does not provide territory protection to its franchisees. Each Micro-Franchisee is assigned a specific Designated Location within a Clinic and may only operate from that location.
However, franchisees are not granted exclusive territory rights, meaning they can face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other distribution channels controlled by SEF.
The franchisor retains broad rights to establish or license others to operate similar businesses anywhere, including locations near existing Micro-Franchisees. SEF may open or authorize additional Micro-Franchise Businesses or Clinics in proximity to the Designated Location, regardless of the financial impact on the existing franchisee.
