ApexNetwork Physical Therapy Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

ApexNetwork Physical Therapy is a rehabilitation franchise offering expert physical therapy services to help individuals recover and improve their well-being.

ApexNetwork Physical Therapy is a rapidly growing health and wellness franchise specializing exclusively in outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation. Launched in 1999 in Highland, Illinois, the company opened its doors to patients and began offering franchise opportunities in 2008.

Today, the brand is headquartered in Highland at 2491 Industrial Court.

ApexNetwork clinics deliver a full suite of physical therapy services—sports rehab, aquatic therapy, industrial and occupational rehab, manual therapy, and ergonomic workplace assessments—underpinned by programs like ACOMP for workplace injury prevention.

This focused niche sets the franchise apart: while many wellness brands offer fragmented services, ApexNetwork delivers specialized, rehab-only care with a strong emphasis on patient outcomes and employer partnerships.

Training

ApexNetwork Physical Therapy provides a structured training program to prepare franchisees and their key staff for successful operations. The training program includes several key components:

  1. Five-Day Management Training: This is provided without additional fees for up to three participants at the franchisor’s Highland, Illinois location or another designated site. Each trainee must satisfactorily complete the training before the franchise can open.
  2. Mandatory Attendance for Key Roles: The franchisee or one of its owners, the Clinic Manager, and the Secretary must attend and pass the training. If any of them fail the assessment, they will be allowed two retakes. Continued failure necessitates retaking the full training at the franchisee’s expense.
  3. Training for Future Managers: Any future Clinic Managers or Secretaries must also complete the management training before assuming their roles. This ensures continuity and compliance with ApexNetwork's operational standards.
  4. Clinical Training Requirement: Franchisees must conduct at least four hours of clinical training on ApexNetwork’s clinical guidelines before any clinician begins patient treatment.

Territory Protection

ApexNetwork Physical Therapy grants franchisees a defined “Assigned Territory” around their approved location, which typically comes with limited territorial protection.

As long as the franchisee remains in compliance with their agreement and is not in default, neither the franchisor nor its affiliates will establish another ApexNetwork facility within the specified distance of that location.

This protective radius is intended to support the franchisee’s business stability and local market presence. However, ApexNetwork does not guarantee an exclusive territory. The franchisor reserves the right to open or license other facilities under different marks or even under the same brand outside the Assigned Territory, regardless of proximity.
