Launched in 2000 by Larry Sutton, RNR Tire Express has grown into a well-recognized franchise brand in the tire and automotive services industry. Based in Tampa, Florida, the company quickly embraced franchising and now boasts nearly 200 locations spanning around 30 states across the U.S.
The franchise delivers an extensive selection of services and products, including premium tires, custom wheels, wheel alignments, rotations, balancing, flat repairs, installations, and essential maintenance solutions.
What truly sets RNR Tire Express apart is its flexible lease-purchase program. This approach serves a critical customer base—individuals who may not qualify for conventional credit or lack immediate funds—making essential auto care more accessible to a broader audience.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
RNR Tire Express provides a detailed and hands-on training program for franchisees and their teams to ensure consistent operations across all locations. The training is structured to cover both managerial and frontline operational needs.
RNR Tire Express grants franchisees a protected "Designated Territory," usually with a minimum three-mile radius, where no other RNR store using the same system and branding will be established during the franchise term.
However, this protection excludes Alternative Distribution Channels like online sales, retail outlets in airports or malls, and other digital or non-storefront models. Franchisees are not compensated for sales through these channels, even if they occur within their territory.
Franchisees must also avoid marketing or selling outside their territory via the internet or mail without prior approval. This setup provides limited territorial protection while allowing the franchisor flexibility to grow the brand.
