PottyPro Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

PottyPro is a pet-services franchise offering pooper-scooper services, waste-removal subscriptions and pet-waste-management solutions, serving homeowners, pet-owners and property managers, and known for low-cost entry, recurring revenue model and strong support.

PottyPro® operates within a unique corner of the pet-services industry, offering professional dog-waste removal as its primary focus. Built on more than two decades of experience, the franchise follows a lean mobile model that keeps startup expenses low.

Based in Millersport, Ohio, the system emphasizes straightforward operations, an easy launch process, and a recurring revenue stream driven by weekly or scheduled service visits.

The franchise provides consistent yard-cleaning and pet-waste management services for both residential customers and commercial properties. Because the business is entirely mobile, franchisees can run their operation without a physical storefront or the overhead typically associated with traditional service businesses.

Its services are suited for single-family neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and condo communities, covering regular waste pickup, dog-waste station upkeep, and similar maintenance tasks. This makes it an appealing option for owners who want predictable, repeatable income in the expanding pet-care sector.

PottyPro® differentiates itself by concentrating only on pet-waste removal instead of offering a broad suite of pet-care services. This narrow specialization allows for an easier day-to-day operation, a lower cost of entry, and flexible territory definitions tied to population rather than expensive retail locations.

Training

The PottyPro® franchise provides a structured training program to ensure franchisees and their designated personnel are adequately prepared to operate their businesses. The training is divided into several components:

  1. Initial Operations Training Program
PottyPro® offers a mandatory three-day operations training program for one individual—either the franchisee or a designated representative. This training typically occurs in Columbus, Ohio, although it may be conducted virtually using manuals, videos, or online platforms. The training is free of charge for one participant, but all associated expenses such as travel, lodging, and meals are the franchisee's responsibility.
  2. Training Completion Requirement
Before opening the business, the franchisee or their designated manager must successfully complete the training and pass a comprehensive test. Failure to pass requires re-attendance at the next available session at the franchisee’s expense.
  3. Advanced Training and Meetings
Franchisees may be required to attend advanced training sessions or regional/national meetings. These events typically focus on business skills and profitability strategies. While the sessions themselves are free, attendees must cover their own travel and lodging costs.

Territory Protection

PottyPro® provides its franchisees with exclusive territorial rights as outlined in the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees receive a defined geographic area—typically determined by ZIP codes and demographic data—within which they are the sole authorized provider of PottyPro® services.

The franchisor commits not to grant another franchise or establish company-owned outlets within the awarded territory, as long as the franchisee remains in compliance with the agreement.

However, while this exclusivity offers significant operational protection, there are limitations. The franchisor retains the right to service national or regional accounts and may require franchisees to stop serving certain customers if those areas are later assigned to other franchisees.
